Cicada-X Protective Netting, 14ft x 14ft, Tree & Shrub Cicada Barrier for 2025 Brood, by Dalen Products
Stop Cicadas & Their Eggs from Damaging Your Trees
-
Periodical cicadas can cause tree “flagging”, which occurs when the females deposit eggs in small grooves they make in branches. If enough females choose the same branch, the branch will turn brown and die. Especially for newly planted saplings, vulnerable trees, and prized trees & shrubs that are especially worth protecting, periodical cicadas could cause irreversible damage.
- 14' x 14' - (196 square feet) protective net
- 3/8 " mesh size blocks cicadas and locusts
- UV & weather-resistant high-quality plastic
- Does not restrict honeybees and many other important pollinators
- Can be easily cut to different sizes & shapes
- Re-usable & eco-friendly
- Made in USA

| 🛠️ Feature | 🎯 Benefit |

| TOTALLY CHEMICAL-FREE | Eco-friendly and safe for people & animals |
| FLEXIBLE FOR ALL TYPES OF TREES | Can be cut & used in nearly unlimited layouts |

Tips To Ensure Maximum Protection:
- 🌳 Use early in the season to prevent initial egg laying. This usually occurs in May.
- 🌳 Focus on placing the net around branches, especially delicate ones that are more easily damaged
- 🌳 For large and established trees, the Cicada-X netting may not be necessary, but it can reduce bothersome cicadas in the area
Notes:
- 🌳 If it is late in the season and cicadas are already living in the trees, the netting will be less effective to rid them
- 🌳 Feel free to cut the netting into different sizes for your trees.

- If your thumb can fit through the mesh, your net is too big to stop cicadas.
- If your entire pinky finger can easily fit thru the mesh, your net could potentially be too big, and some cicadas might make it through your cicada barrier.
- If you cannot fit your whole pinky finger through the mesh, you have the best net to stop cicadas.
Different cicada broods come in different sizes, and annual cicadas are generally larger than the periodical broods. No matter which brood you are dealing with, follow the pinky finger "rule of thumb" to determine whether or not you have the best net size to block cicadas. Cicada-X is designed against cicadas and locusts, while not being too restrictive for many pollinators.
